The Outreach Committee is asking for your participation in a new project that starts October 1st! The Mount Joy Chamber of Commerce as accepting donations to give to homeless families of Donegal School District.

Contributions may be made by donating grocery gift cards in 5, 10, or 25-dollar amounts. Gift cards are requested for businesses that hold membership within the Mount Joy Chamber of Commerce, such as Hummer’s Meats, Giant Food Stores, and The Country Store.

Choosing to purchase a gift card for Giant Food Stores through the Chiques program will benefit our church as well! Checks made payable to Mount Joy Chamber will also be accepted toward the project.

Please place your contributions in the donation box of the Narthex by Sunday, November 3, 2024. Let’s make Christmas a little brighter for Mount Joy families, who will receive your gift inside a Christmas card!

Chiques Women in Mission are sponsoring a collection of Christmas Cards to be sent to our veterans!

In addition to sending Christmas cards, the Outreach Committee will be collecting the following items to give to hospitalized veterans of the VA Hospital in Lebanon. 

For Men and Women:

• Briefs (sizes M, L) and Underwear (sizes S, M, L)
• Lotion
• Shampoo
• Deodorant
• Mouthwash and Denture Cleaner
• Hairbrushes
• Large Print Crossword Puzzle Books
• Reading Glasses (3.75 Strength)

For Men:

• Body Spray
• T-Shirts (sizes M, L, XL)
• Razors

For Women:

• Hair Conditioner
• Body Powder

A collection box will be placed in the Narthex for collections to start on Sunday, November 3rd and end on Sunday, November 24th. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
